Welcome to the Director project !

Director is a collection of open source web-server plugins to provide loadbalancing, clustering and unified connection methods for different web-servers on different platforms. The Enhydra Director supports several popular Web servers and operating systems, including Apache (on Linux/Unix and Windows), Netscape Enterprise Server (on Linux/UNIX and Windows), and Microsoft Internet Information Server (on Windows). Director also supports several applications servers: Tomcat (v5.xx and v5.5x), Jetty and Enhydra Application server.

Enhydra Director 6.2-2 has been released and can be downloaded from the ObjectWeb Forge
Enhydra Director now contains connectors for Tomcat 5.0.x, Tomcat 5.5.x and Jetty.

25 February 2004: Enhydra Director 5.1-7 released !

Enhydra Director 5.1-7 has been released and can be downloaded from the ObjectWeb Forge (changelog).

28 January 2004: Director Web site moves to ObjectWeb.

Following the merge of the Enhydra.org and ObjectWeb Consortium communities, the Director Web site is now hosted by ObjectWeb. It can be reached now at director.objectweb.org (director.enhydra.org still redirects to this URL). The Director's development site is also hosted by the ObjectWeb Forge.

September, 2003: Director 5.1 FINAL available !

Director 5.1 with support for latest Apache versions, iPlanet support, s390 binaries and IIS-caching for static HTML elements and IIS rewrite functionality is released.

It can be downloaded on the ObjectWeb Forge.
